Super Soft Dog Harness!

Dog Collars

If you have a fussy dog that likes the soft life, I found a super soft dog harness.  Unlike the dog collars they fit around the girth of your dog so as not to put so much pressure on those sensitive throats.  My dog’s throat is a little sensitive and I love to be able to walk him without him coughing all the time because the collar irritated his throat.

You can find some great dog harnesses online and I just love the soft felt ones.  My dog seem to enjoy his walks better when he can walk in comfort and be snuggled by a great soft fleece harness.

Summer Dog Clothing

Well summer is just about over.  For many that’s probably a good thing but I like the summer months.  It allows me to get out and walk my dog without a lot of heavy coats.  Exercise is good for my dog (and me).

I was thinking about maybe trying to get some good deals on summer dog clothes.  Since it’s almost September maybe there will be a dog bathing suit or two for sale or perhaps some other summer dog wear.  I found a some really cute things that I thought I’d get for my little princess.  She loves the summer too, so with her new dog bikini we’ll be looking forward to next summer.

Dog Jackets

Our troop’s need our complete support for the things they do to keep our freedom.  My son was a Marine so the military is often on my mind.  I was looking for something military for my dog as I wanted to show a little patriotism and came across a few military dog jackets.  They were camouflage and were made of soft fleece for warmth.  Since winter months slowly approaching I thought this would be the ideal dog jacket.

My little dog is wearing a military jacket to show our respect to our men and woman fighting for our freedom.  Check out some of the military dog shirts and dog jackets.  I think you will find one that shows your patriotism also.

Great Way to Carry your Dog!

Dog Carriers

I’m always looking for a new way to carry my dog around town.  I like to show her off so she goes with me most of the time.  I found these cute dog carriers that work great.  They, unlike other small dog carriers, are flexible.  They have adjustable swivel straps and are designed to let the owner find the most comfortable way to carry their dog.

The straps on these dog carriers can be shortened to wear as a shoulder bag or lengthened to wear across your chest for added stability on those long hikes.  You can remove the longer straps because the carrier comes with a set of tote handles for carrying your dog by hand.  If your dog should want to get a little exercise, you can detach one end of the longer strap and use it as a leash.

These small dog carriers, I found, are also recommended by the vet’s.  If your dog has arthritis, a broken leg or other medical problems making it hard to walk, they can be carried in these dog carriers and be very comfortable.

These small dog carriers are so handy and versatile that all pet owners should have one to carry their dogs.

Great Coat for Big Dogs!

I don’t know about your dog but my “big” dog likes to grab a coat in the winter months and take off for his daily walk.  Actually it’s two walks but I’m the only one counting.  Like most people, dogs get cold also and like to put on a great dog coat over their coat of fur.  It’s important for them to be warm when the snow is blowing.

There are a lot of dog coats on the market now that look great on any dog.  It will be winter before you know it so check out some of the great buys.  I did and although I don’t really like winter most of us have to get out in it so why not keep our good buddy warm also.

Rain Drops Keep Falling!

I never thought I’d be checking out a dog raincoat, however, it’s been rather rainy around here lately and you know when a dog’s gotta go he’s gotta go.  Rain usually isn’t a dog’s best friend and with the dog raincoat he/she can be protected from that cold rain they really hate to get out into.

I’ve found some of the cutest dog raincoats and had to order one.  The next time my dog’s gotta go she can just jump into her new dog raincoat and hat set and get out and make some splashes in the rain.

Handmade Dog Sweaters

Although it’s still summer it may be time to take advantage of the new dog sweaters getting ready to hit the market for the cooler weather.  There is a huge variety of dog sweaters.  My dog deserves nothing but the best so I went looking for the handmade dog sweaters.  I did find a few that would look great on my dog Sassy.

Sassy likes to wear sweaters in the fall months because she has a tendency to be a little chilly. Mini Pinscher are a little like that and I like to keep her comfortable in the cool months.  In the winter she has to have on her dog coat or she shivers all the time when it’s time to go outside for a “short” walk.  It’s important that small stay warm when it’s cold outside because they can get sick and no one likes to see their dog sick.  Check out some of the dog sweaters out now and make sure your dog’s comfortable for the cooler weather.

Why should you dress your pet?

Like never before there are so many dog fashions to choose from.  So you ask why do I need to dress my dog?  Dressing your dog for warmth is always important.  If your little dog is small and doesn’t have a very heavy coat to keep him warm he may need a little help with dog coat or shirt.  Now days the fashions are endless so finding the right dog attire is not a problem.  A cute faux fur coat for your little dog or perhaps a sassy sweater.

What about the little dogs that are intimidated by the larger dogs?  Dressing your little dog in something cozy like a t-shirt or sweater will create a more calming effect and give your smaller dog a little more confidence.

Dogs like a lot of attention and when you dress your dog in something beautiful they will be sure to get all the attention he or she will need.  You’ll see that tail wag when people come up to give your dog a little pat and that’s what all dogs want.  How can anyone resist the dog fashions out there now.

Dogs can get sunburn too!

Dog T Shirts

Just like humans, dogs need sunlight for their health but we must protect them just like we protect our children.  Dogs are sensitive to the ultraviolet rays that come from the sun.  These rays can irritate our dogs skin and cause sunburn.

Short-haired dogs are more prone to sunburn usually on their nose, groin, abdomen and inside of the legs.  Being so close to the ground they get the rays from above as well as the reflection from the pavement or sand.  We need to protect our dogs from these harmful rays and there are ways to do that.  Keep your dog inside during the peak heat of the day, apply sunblock to the bridge of their nose and tips of their ears whenever they are outside more that a few minutes.  Some vets say to use protective dog clothing such as dog t-shirts, dog hats, or dog visors to keep the sun off your pet.

Our dogs give us unconditional love and we need to give that in return.  Let them play outside for a few minutes a day but protect them from the harmful UV rays that could cause serious injury.
