I read this in a article I received via email from DogAge and thought I’d share it with you.

1. Petting your pup boosts production of pleasure hormones in the brain, helping to keep your stress and blood pressure at healthy levels.

2. Canine company aids the recovery of heart attack patients and has a calming effect on people with Alzheimer’s

3. Regular walks with your dog lift your mood and improve your fitness.

4. Kids who grow up with dogs seem to have stronger immune systems and may be less likely to develop asthma, eczema, and pet allergies later in life.

What I got out of this article is that living with dogs keeps us healthy.  Our dogs do so much for us so we need to provide for them.  Keeping them warm in the winter months is most important.  Dog coats are an important part of a dogs wardrobe.  If you are cold you can be pretty sure your dog feels it also.  If your dog doesn’t like the dog coats maybe lighter weight dog sweaters would be perfect.

Whatever your dog needs, be sure you take care of them because they take care of us.
